In chapter twenty, there is a lot of searching for the earth boxes. That i thought was boring, but when we get to page 317, we learn some more about Renfield. He briefly speaks about why flies are magnificent and how it was compared to the butterfly. I think this guy has WAAAAY too much time on his hands with all of his previous collections of flies, spiders, birds, and his wanting of a cat. I find this guy slightly odd for consuming the animals and taking their "life". He compares himself to Enoch from the bible, and if any of you know the story, Enoch was one of two men who never died. He walked with god and was wise and was taken in a whirlwind to heaven. Sewerd had the same thought as I did, which was "how does this have anything to do with your creepy hobbies". Renfield was also questioned about souls, which seemed to offend him. I feel renfield likes controlling life like Dracula does to a certain extent, but he does not want to keep someone controlled as Dracula did Lucy if you get my flow.

Austin...nice job here...you are trying to get to the core of Renfield's character and of course it's critical that you understand the allusion he makes to Enoch. So if he compares him to Enoch, What does Renfield want of Dracula? How does this want make him vulnerable to Dracula?
