This is David Williamson. Mina stated on pages 292-293 in my book, that when the deed would be done, Dracula could have his salvation like Lucy. I find that this shows that Mina has a love for all things, no matter how vile and evil they are. I also found the hypnotizing scene to add to Van Helsing's abilities. I am somewhat curious to know if there isn't anything that he can't do.

Sorry I had a typo and had to fix it.

Yes, and her love for all things sets her apart from the rest of her hunting companions, doesn't it?

THis is a good place to list some of Helsing's abilities? What about his faults?

On page 204, after the Count flees the house, Van Helsing is the first one of the group to say something. He says, "We have learnt something... much! Notwithstanding his brave words, he fears us. He fears time, he fears want!" Despite the almighty Count having so much power and strenght, he fears these mortals who know so much but can only do so little. The Count senses that his time is running out and there is not a whole lot he can do about it.

Miranda...thanks for the textual references! I like that approach... you take a quote straight from the text and then you analyzed it!
