On page 76 chapter 9, when Dr. Seward puts in his diary on August 23 that "The expected always happens." Soon Dr. Seward gets accustomed to Renfields habits, and thinks everything he has been doing he will continue to do so. But then he does a 360, and does something comepletely unexpected.
